Become a Happier Woman Today
Every woman should read this article. If you’re feeling unsatisfied with your relationships or unhappy, there is something you can do about it. Take charge of your happiness and life today. Here are the last five of the ten qualities (Baker, Greenberg, and Yalof, 2007) found in happy women:
1. Embrace optimism. Unfortunately, happiness doesn’t fall into your lap. You need to learn how to enjoy life’s little moments and hope for the best, even on your bad days. If you choose to be more optimistic, your problems will be easier to handle.
2. Be proactive. Try saying “yes” for a day. Say yes to the opportunities that come your way instead of retreating to a more comfortable space. Go out for a girl’s night or a weekend retreat the next time you’re asked. Try scuba diving if your partner has been asking about it. By doing more activities in your life, you’ll be widening your social contacts and friendship pool. Those are the two things you will need the most when life does get you down.
3. Appreciate life. Life could get easier tomorrow, or worse. You never know when life will change, which is why you need to live each day to its fullest. Don’t run through life, live it.
4. Be wise. Some days it can feel like everyone but you is having the better life or the better relationship. Your friend just got engaged and another one is pregnant, all while your boyfriend of a year is just getting around to introducing you to his family. You don’t know what your friends’ lives are really like behind closed doors. Cherish your life and the people in it without playing the comparison game.
5. Perseverance. Never give up. Not even if you’re the only bride in history with a runaway-groom. Whatever bad luck or events come your way, keep going. Don’t give up on your dreams or yourself.
